On 21st of December took place the 5-th edition of the You Can Sing contest. It’s the competition that is organized in Stare Babice. This year students from four schools: Stare Babice, Zielonki, Koczargi and Big Ben school had
the opportunity to present their fluency in English and of course - their singing skills.
First phase of the competition was completely online. The participants have to send the short video recording of the singing. The next phase of the contest was organized in school under strict sanitary regime. The contestants were divided into groups – older group 6-8 classes and younger 3-5 class. The groups performed in different time slots, so they didn’t meet. They presented their skills individually- in the room there were only judges and the performer.
I think the level was usually really high. The songs were diverse even though all participants had to prepare songs related to Christmas. The stage was prepared really well. I really liked to be there. The microphone volume wasn’t too high, so it was comfortable for me to sing. The atmosphere was really good – everyone was smiling and because of that I wasn’t stressed that much.
It was my fourth You Can Sing contest and like always it was a great experience. I would definitely suggest you take part in it.
