Has the internet positively or negatively impacted human society?

The Internet is a network of connections between computers. This global system allows the exchange of digital information. Thanks to this, a whole network of services was created, without which our present life would be much more difficult.

However, is it positively or negatively on human society? I will try to answer this question in this essay.

The Internet is not only a form of study and work, but also entertainment and pleasure. Unfortunately, more and more people are becoming addicted to it. They cannot spend a day without reaching for a phone or a computer. Internet addiction is a big problem these days. As a result of this addiction, relationships with relatives may be destroyed, school grades lowered, or even further employment may be questioned. Online games, online shopping, even social networking, chatting, surfing the web marathon all add up to addiction to the Internet.

There are many dangers on the internet. The most common threats on the Internet that affect all network users are viruses. You can infect your computer or smartphone completely unknowingly by clicking on an unknown link or even opening an e-mail from a stranger.

Online threats to children and young people include testing illegal and harmful content and the possibility of contact with strangers who may turn out to be dangerous. Loud ones are also associated with peer abuse and bullying, including social media that can even reach suicide. Stealing or taking over and publishing intimate photos or videos to the threats posed by the Internet, affecting children, adolescents and adults.

Another reason why the internet has negatively affected society is the fact that nowadays all the information we need is available online. Which makes us stop thinking because the technology does it for us. the internet is a good tool, but not a useful replacement for our brain. If we couldn't remember anything, we'd all be spending more time on our phones and computers than before, which is not good for society.

To sum up my considerations, the Internet has not had a positive impact on human society.
