Twenty One Pilots is an American band making music which is a combination of punk, rock, hip hop and electronic. Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun are members since 2011. Tyler is singer and Josh plays the drums.
The band’s name comes from Tyler. When he was at college they were making art. Main character was making parts for war aircraft. He realized that some of the parts he made were defective. He had to make decision: should he send the parts or not. In the end he decided to send them. Unfortunately by his decision 21 pilots died. They interpret the disaster this way: “We still have some decisions to make. There is always a good and a bad way out. Sometimes it is difficult to decide which is good and which is bad. Often a difficult way out is a good one. Thanks to the name of our team, we constantly remind ourselves to make only good decisions”.
I really like them. They helping me with bad times thanks to their music. I am keeping my fingers crossed very hard because I was going to see them at Warsaw Opener.
Their music is very personal, significant. In many songs there are rap parts, so someone could like that. Their music is also kind of sad but not depressing. It’s specific. I really like album “Blurryface” and “Trench”. But “Vessel” is also nice. I have been listening to them for about 5 years now and I remember the coming out of the album “Trench”. I remember it as it was a year ago. At one of their gigs in Poland Tyler was screaming that they will for sure come to Poland again. I think everyone should listen to their songs. Maybe the group of TØP will grow up if you or your friends will listen to their music. I think you should read lyrics to their songs cause some really ‘hit’ if you know what I mean. I don’t know how to explain it, but if you read those lyrics you will feel that lyrics.
As a songwriter myself I appreaciate good meaningful lyrics and that's what you get from these young gents:) not to mention songs in general being an excellent source of vocabulary for all of us- the students of language;)
